Showing Off for My Person

That Beagle is away from the keyboard. He was bragging about a post he wanted to make last week--something about eating bugs, don't ask me--and then quite suddenly he got sick. He got so sick he wasn't even annoying any more. My person stuffed him in her car and drove to the vet, but I don't think a person should drive if her hands are shaking like that.

That Beagle came home and he was still sick, but my person had pills to give him. Then she spent a lot of time worrying about him that she could have been petting me. It makes me wonder if it wasn't an unusually sly ploy on That Beagle's part, but I guess I don't think he could give up BAWHing that long if he'd been faking it.

Well, whatever. He's BAWHing again now, that's for sure. He doesn't smell right yet and my person checks on him constantly, but I think it's time for life to get back to normal around here. Meanwhile, what would you rather have? A host who eats bugs or someone who can speak three languages with her ears alone?

They are very impressive ears, as you can see.

So about that showing off. Because my person has been so busy, she gets to show off lots of book covers this year. And That Beagle would never bother to mention it here, so as usual it's my job.

Here is her next book cover! I'm quite certain this was meant to be a Cardigan on the cover. It seems to make my person grin as it is, though.
