Mymom...still weird.
Jul. 10th, 2005 09:16 pmI knew we were doing something special today! I knew it! I knew it yesterday, too!
Yesterday we went to an almost-new place with lots of other dogs, barkbarkbarkbarkBARK. We went last week, too. It has a big indoor place with hard fake ground and mymom brought some of my agility toys and asked me to play with them, but I was distracted by the noise and all the strangeness and all the loud dogs. I did play a little for her and she said I WAS GOOD.
Yesterday when we went, I played harder for her. Somehow the strangeness didn't seem as strange. We only play for a little while and then we come home and she says I should think about it some more.
Today I was SURE we were doing more fun things, because she had my CRATE out and her big pile of STUFF by the back door. And herfriend came and I was so sure we would do something fun if mymom would let me out of my crate that I made new yodeling noises at her to get her attention. Then I used my wrinkles, but she pretended not to see.
FINALLY we all got in herfriend's big car thing and this time I WASN'T IN A TRAVEL CRATE! I was on the floor with BELLE!
Belle told me to settle down and quit stepping on her. Grumpy. And mymom kept saying, "Don't barf, Connery."
Well, I DIDN'T.
We went to the far-away agility play yard. Mymom had us do lots of playing on the contacts. Belle didn't get to play as much because she kept doing everything right. I got MORE COOKIES because I kept doing things over! Mymom is getting sneaky. She put a tunnel next to the big scramble and I had to pick the right one to play on. Sometimes her feet said do one thing and her hands said do another, so I did what I wanted. I think I should have gotten COOKIES for that, too. But she got better after a little practice.
She set the tire up for me, too. Not so long ago the tire suddenly seemed strange and I thought it would be better to find new ways to jump it. Mostly going under it, but mymom made funny noises when I did that. She made me my own TIRE JUMP from a REAL TIRE, and I had to be even more clever to play with it. It was smaller and thicker. We played with that a lot for a while and then when we came to the far away agility yard today, I could tell she thought I might find better ways to jump the official tire jump again. But it didn't seem strange to me anymore and she made lots of happy noises when I JUMPED IT.
I'm not sure why it didn't seem strange any more. I don't think I should think too hard about it.
I didn't barf on the way home, either.
